Boxing Fight

Today I am going to talk about a memorable boxing fight; 'Iron' Mike Tyson vs Andrew Golota
The fight was held on the 20th of October 2000 in Detroit, Michigan.

At the start of the fight, Tyson started with his usual aggressive approach, hitting Golota with several power punches, in the first half a minute in the first round. Using his height advantage, Golota was able to cope with Tyson's punches, using his left jab effectively for the next two minutes.

In the round's final 30 seconds, Tyson's aggressiveness appeared again, landing one effective and powerful right hook on Golota.
In an attempt to slow Tyson down, Golota was forced into a clinch, which the referee ended by separating the two boxers. Tyson dropped Golota to the mat, after landing yet another powerful right hook.

Golota was able to get up just before the round ended, but he was bleeding from a cut above his left eye. Tyson was seeking an instant knockout when he continued with his aggressive approach towards Golota. Tyson won round two easily on all three judges' scorecards. Before round three started, Golota informed his corner that he would not continue that fight. His trainer urged and begged Golota to continue the fight, but the boxer didn't want to continue so Tyson won by technical knockout.

About Boxing

Hello my name is Nathaniel and this is my first attempt at blogging. Today I am going to tell you about boxing. My interest in boxing began when I was 14. Interest and love in this sport, gave me courage to train boxing and passion for this sport grows once you experience the hard work that boxers have to do in order to succeed.

What is Boxing?

Boxing is a sport which involves two athletes (supervised by a referee)who fight each other using only their gloved hands.
In the early days, when boxing first appeared (688BC) in the Olympic games, it was considered a fighting game which was played by the Gods on Olympus.
Boxing, then evolved, mostly in Great Britain and later in the United States. Nowadays boxing has become a popular sport globally. Also it has become very intense as a sport.
